backtest
Leave on a 20-day-line break and the book falls apart
Same entries: an ATR stop is +0.07R per trade; exiting when close loses the 20-day line is −0.10R.
I kept the same buys and changed only the exit. Cut on an ATR-distance stop and you get +0.07R per trade. Switch to “leave when the close loses the 20-day line” and it collapses to −0.10R. Using that line alone is worse.
Mechanics
- atr_2r: intrabar low vs ATR stop, high vs 2R (stop-first on same bar)
- sma20: 1R = entry − SMA20(signal); exit next open after close < SMA20
- sma20_2r still takes 2R if high hits first on a bar

Pullback seats therefore block automatic SMA20 sells in live playbook — buy alerts and trend exits must not overlap.
